Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development George Kobulia held a meeting with the  of the financial institutions (EBRD, AIIB, ADB, OPIC) and the Anaklia Development Consortium to discuss the issues related to the implementation of Anaklia’s Deep Sea Port project. The Deputy Ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development Ekaterine Mikabadze and Akaki Saghirashvili as well as the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Grigol Katsia also attended the meeting.

It was noted at the meeting that the Anaklia Deep Sea Port is an important strategic project for the country whose successful implementation will facilitate to establish Georgia as the transport-logistic hub in the region. The model of financing the construction of the port was the topic of the conversation.
