“Today, I had a conversation with the Minister of Transport and Communications of Lietuva. We discussed the prospects of promptly restoring the air traffic between our countries,” –  Natia Turnava, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development said after the online meeting with the Minister of Transport and Communication of Lietuva, Jaroslav Narkevič.

Deputy Ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development Genadi Arveladze and Akaki Saghirashvili also participated in the meeting.

“We are preparing for the opening of the tourist season. We communicate with our colleagues on a daily basis, especially with the colleagues from the countries from which we expect tourist flows. Significantly, Visa and Air Baltic Airlines have already expressed a desire to restore regular traffic between Vilnius, Riga and Georgian airports. We know that traffic between the three Baltic states has virtually been restored to the free movement of citizens, and we are working with all three Baltic states to restore direct air traffic. We will do our best to host tourists from these countries from July 1,” – the Minister noted.
