Natia Turnava, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, held an online meeting with the Minister of Tourism of Israel  Asaf Zamir.

Current epidemiological situation in Israel and prospects for the resuming of the tourist traffic between the two countries was the main topics of the conversation.

“It is difficult to name a specific date regarding the elimination of the covid infection, but we hope that Israel will quickly overcome the wave of epidemiological outbreaks and at least at the end of this July we will be able to return to tourism and host the first guests from Israel,” – Natia Turnov said.

Georgian Ambassador to Israel Lasha Zhvania, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Genadi Arveladze and Head of the National Tourism Administration Mariam Kvrivishvili also participated in the online meeting.
