Irakli Nadareishvili at Tourism Investment Session

“Despite the current situation in the world, Georgia still remains a very interesting destination for the tourism industry and holding the Executive Board in Tbilisi under the auspices of the World Tourism Organization is another confirmation,” – Irakli Nadareishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development stated in the “Emerging Trends of post-COVID Era in Georgia” session held within the 112th session of the Executive Council of the UN World Tourism Organization. 

Speaking to the journalists, the Deputy Minister gave the positive evaluation of the initiatives of the private sector, which were implemented within the framework of the Executive Session of the UN World Tourism Organization.

Irakli Nadareishvili specially highlighted the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation with the global company MasterCard Europe. The company will cooperate with Georgia in several very important areas. “It is about accessing global tourism information and getting up-to-date information on trends that will be especially important in the post-Covid period in order to restore the tourism industry to the stage we were at - to do it quickly, effectively. At the same time, we should overcome challenges we have in the tourism industry as promptly as possible,” – the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development stated.
