Natia Turnava Held Working Meeting with Tourism Industry Representatives

“It is very important to convince everyone that Georgia is still not only the most interesting tourist location in the region, but also a safe host country, and we have all the prerequisites for this in terms of regulations, experience, quarantine management and knowledge,” – Natia Turnava noted upon the completion of another working meeting with the tourism industry representatives and, in particular, with the representatives if the hotel administrations.

The Minister said that a new marketing strategy was discussed with the representatives of the hotels, which reflects requirements for the post-rehabilitation, recovery and assistance to the tourism sector.

“We are talking about aew, target markets, the new image of Georgia as a safe host country, as well as cooperation between us and the hotels to deliver this strong message abroad and at the same time, comply with the safety regulations,” – Natia Turnava stated.

The Minister highlighted that the hotels fully realise the responsibilities to be undertaken in order to receive tourists in the future, which is very important.

Head of the Labor Inspection Service Beka Peradze, Acting Business Ombudsman Nino Kvetenadze, Deputy Minister of Economy Irakli Nadareishvili and Acting Head of the National Tourism Administration Medea Janiashvili, also attended the meeting.
