Natia Turnava, accompanied by Giorgi Urushadze, the State Representative in the Guria Region, and Archil Talakvadze, the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, visited a jeans garment factory in the Ozurgeti Municipality.

The Ozurgeti Denim, a company that owns a jeans garment factory, was given a plot of land at a symbolic price several years ago within the Real Estate Transfer component of the  Enterprise Georgia’s state program.

The company currently provides production for such well-known brands as: URBAN, PIECES, GINA TRICOT, LIU JO, NOISY MAY, VERO MODA, GEORGE, VERO MODA-CURVE, NEW LOOK, ONLY, CUBUS. Products made in Ozurgeti are exported to Europe.

Natia Turnava highlighted that the investor fully converted the place where the enterprise is located today and which was almost completely destroyed years ago.

“Today the enterprise employs 150 local residents, mostly women. The products made by these people are exported to different European countries. I am glad that these people, through their hard work, are contributing to the strengthening of our country’s export potential. The company wished to expand and we will continue to support them. This is what our new programs, which we recently announced and launched, serve for. These are export programs and incentives for local Georgian production. We will always help investors in the regions to implement such projects, because, first of all, it deals with the employment of our population,’ – Natia Turnava commented.
