Natia Turnava at Food Alliance Opening Ceremony

Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava took part in the opening of a new enterprise – Food Alliance. The company located in the village of Natakhtari produces a large assortment of bakery products and is fully equipped with new, European high-tech machinery.

The enterprise was opened with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development’s Enterprise Georgia Agency co-financing of the loan interest rate component and the EBRD program.

“We are very happy that during the pandemic, many new enterprises are being opened with the help of the State. This enterprise is equipped with the latest European technologies, all machines are imported from the different European countries. This is a Georgian-French investment of 11 million GEL and, most importantly, the enterprise employs about 100 local inhabitants. I congratulate the investors, Georgia and our Ministry on this success,” – the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development stated after the visit to the enterprise.

Georgian and French partners with many years of experience in the manufacturing and business development sector founded the company. Food Alliance is a new venture that offers customers a large assortment of European-style baked goods based of French traditions. At this point the company manufactures over 100 products and supplies them to large retail chains as well as hotels.
