Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Natia Turnava took part in the Kalandoba celebration in Ozurgeti, which was held within the framework of the New Year events initiated by the Prime Minister.

Within the framework of the event, Natia Turnava visited the Kalanda Market and inspected the products of local entrepreneurs. The Minister also visited the Gordeladze family in the village of Shemokmedi and congratulated them on the Kalandoba (celebration of the New Year in the Guria Region according to the old calendar system) “I would like to congratulate the whole of Georgia from the village of Shemokmedi in Guria, Ozurgeti district, on the Kalanda, whose tradition is preserved in Guria and is celebrated especially beautifully this year.

It is a great honour for me to attend the Kalandoba here in Guria, to open a new Techn Park, to see a wonderful exhibition-sale of startups, very talented entrepreneurs. I want to wish all of Georgia and, of course, to Guria, peace, prosperity, development, economic recovery to everyone, in which we are absolutely convinced. All the difficulties brought by the Covid-Pandemic should be left behind and we should overcome everything together,” – Natia Turnava commented.
