Romeo Mikautadze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, introduced Giorgi Chikovani, a new Director General of the Agency, to the staff of the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation.

The Deputy Minister focused on Giorgi Chikovani’s qualification, professionalism and experience. Mikautadze said that the Ministry and the Oil and Gas Corporation will continue to work in a close and coordinated manner in the future.

New head of the Corporation has extensive experience of working at the managerial positions – at various times Chikovani held such positions as Deputy Minister of Economy, Deputy Minister of Energy, Chair of the Energy Development Fund of Georgia, etc. Ge has vast experience in expert and managerial positions in the field of energy.

At the meeting, Giorgi Chikovani stressed the importance of the Corporation’s activities and his readiness to increase the efficiency of these organization, which is an important contributor to the economic development of the country.
