Postage Stamp Dedicated to 100th Anniversary of Institution Presented at Technical University of Georgia

Ceremonial event dedicated to the date of the establishment of the University was held at the Technical University of Georgia, within the framework of which a postage stamp dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Georgian Technical University issued by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia was presented.

Eka Kubusidze, the Head of the Communications, Information and Modern Technologies Department of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, delivered a speech at the event congratulating the public on the foundation day of the technical university and noted that the postage stamp is not only a postal payment mark, but also one of the characteristics of the country’s sovereignty.

“Technical University of Georgia makes a significant contribution to the development of the country and the training of decent and highly professional engineering personnel. This school is one of the oldest in Georgia. With the stamp dedicated to its 100th anniversary, we honour those people who founded the first engineering school in Georgia a century ago. With this stamp, we inform the world about the 100-year history of the Technical University of Georgia,” – Eka Kubusidze said.

Kubusidze also noted that the postage stamp was developed in compliance with the terms of the convention of the United Nations specialized organization – Universal Postal Union (UPU).

Eka Kubusidze thanked the Technical University of Georgia and Georgian Post LLC for their cooperation in the development of the stamp.
