Dimitry Kumsishvili Opened New Enterprise of Adjara Textile

New enterprise of the Adjara Textile was opened in Poti with the support of state program Enterprise Georgia. 

The first Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Dimitry Kumsishvili opened the new enterprise today. The founder of the Adjara Textile, Jemal Bilgingullouglu and the Regional Director of Nike Ema, Caner Soitas also attended the event.

The Adjara Textile’s new enterprise will supply such large brands as New Balance and Under Armour.

“When we laid the foundation for the construction of this factory, I remember well that there was certain skepticism whether it would be possible to promote the implementation of investments in such a obscure field. However, today we are here and this is really a clear example and confirmation that business is developing where there is a wish and right vision, where there is a belief in the fact that every single GEL in this enterprise will not only benefit the people employed, but in the end, every citizen will enjoy the welfare,” –  Dimitry Kumsishvili stated at the opening ceremony of the enterprise.

According to the Minister, the reforms implemented under the umbrella of the initiative of the Prime Minister and Government of Georgia confirm the priorities of the government, which means freedom of business and its promotion, especially in the regions.

Adjara Textile is oriented on 100% exports. The company currently cooperates with such leading international companies as Nike, Puma, Lotto, Erma. 

The company currently produces 10 000 000 units of goods, while the volume of production will be significantly increased by the introduction of new high quality machines.
The Adjara Textile operates two sewing factories in Batumi and Kobuleti, where 2500 people are employed.
