Hans Timmer: Georgia is developing rapidly in the direction of innovations

First Vice Prime Minister, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Dimitry Kumsishvili held a conclusive meeting with the World Bank's Mission headed by Chief Economist of the Bank, Hans Timmer. Within four days, the Mission held meetings with government authorities, representatives of private sector and academic staff, where the attendants discussed the development of blockchain technologies and spoke about the current situation in Georgia.

At the meeting, the Head of the World Bank’s Mission positively assessed the development of the blockchain technologies in Georgia and noted that Georgia is developing rapidly in the direction of innovations and therefore, reveals great potential in this regard.

Hans Timmer also became interested in the state of the technologies, visions of development and future plans.

Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Ekaterine Mikabadze and the World Bank Regional Director in the South Caucasus, Mercy Tembon also attended the meeting.
