Korean Company SK E&C Interested in Investing in Georgia

First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitry Kumsishvili held a meeting with the Executive Vice-President and Regional Managing Director of Korean Company SK E&C, Seung Soo Lee and the accompanying delegation. 

Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Giorgi Cherkezishvili also attended the meeting.

Korean guest expressed interest in the certain directions of Georgia’s economy. Launching cooperation in energy sector and namely in the construction of the HPPs was the focus of the conversation.

At the same time, the Korean delegation expressed its interest in the Free Trade Agreements signed by Georgia with different parties allowing to export the goods produced in Georgia under the preferential conditions. The Korean delegation confirmed their intention to investigate the opportunity of opening enterprises in Georgia in these terms.

Hotel industry in Georgia was another sector of interest of the Korean delegation.

As it was decided at the meeting, the cooperation with the Korean delegation will be continued in an active working format.
