“Establishment of the Commercial Attaché institution is of outmost importance for our country,” – this is the statement of the First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitry Kumsishvili following the Government Session when informing the media representatives on announcing the contest on the vacancies for the position of the Commercial Attachés. 

According to the First Vice Prime Minister, the Commercial Attaché responsibilities will cover two main directions.

“First of all, this is the facilitation of the export and another is the attraction of investments. When talking about the investment, we, of course, also mean the investment in terms of high technologies as well as sharing and exchanging knowledge. Therefore, this direction will be of outmost importance,” – Dimitry Kumsishvili stated.

As the First Vice Prime Minister commented, this is a pilot project and during the first stage, the selected Commercial Attachés will operate in six partner countries, which are as follows: the USA, Federal Republic of Germany, Republic Turkey, the Great Britain, the United Arab Emirates and People’s Republic of China.

“We have huge potential for development in these countries and the Commercial Attachés will operate there in order to develop this very potential,” – the First Vice Prime Minister noted.

Terms of the Contest for the vacancies of the Commercial Attachés are available on the web site of the Ministry of Economy www.economy.ge and on the numerous information portals. However, the applications can be submitted only on the governmental employment portal www.hr.gov.ge

Submission  of the applications is available starting today and during the following 14 days. Selected candidates will start performing their responsibilities in 2018.

“We are looking for the professionals with at least 5-year experience in the private sector in such fields as international trade, investments or finances. They should also have at least 3-year experience of working at the managerial position. I recommend all the interested candidates to submit the application on the www.hr.gov.ge” – the First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitry Kumsishvili stated.
