Along other important issues, Gennadi Arveladze highlighted such achievements as obtaining international/European recognition by the Accreditation Center of Georgia, which means international recognition of certificates issued by the accredited persons and the laboratory test protocols in Georgia. Georgia succeeded in opening the EU market for animal origin products and still continues to work in this direction. Genadi Arveladze also talked about the challenges in the implementation of the Agreement and the ways of their overcoming. Special emphasis was made on the necessity of promoting small and medium businesses in terms of adaptation to the DCFTA requirements and measures taken by the Government in this regard. The Deputy Minister confirmed that Georgia will continue to fulfill its obligations in the future.

As Gennadi Arveladze noted, the Ministry has developed a long-term Action Plan 2018-2020 for the DCFTA implementation. He also spoke about the importance of the significant transport and energy projects for the region and the role of Georgia in this regard.
