Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Natia Turnava congratulated the representatives of the communication sphere on their professional day. May 17 is the World Telecommunication & Information Society Day and the Day of Georgian Telecommunication.

“In Georgia, as well as around the world, modern scientific and technical progress has dramatically changed the communication system. Today, when broadband services and Internet access have become an integral part of our lives, highly developed e-communications and information technology are increasingly playing an important role in the daily lives and activities of the country’s population. That is why the Georgian Government prioritizes the promotion of sustainable, innovative development and has implemented a number of large-scale reforms and including new programs in this direction”.

The progress in the e-communications, information technologies and postal services and the sustainable functioning, plaid the important role in the fight against new corona-virus global pandemic and I would like to thank you and express our confidence, that the employees of the communication industry, will continue to offer the communication and information technology services, which shall contribute to the building of information society in our country,” – the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Natia Turnava said in her congratulation speech.
