Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Natia Turnava visited the Alfa Pet enterprise, a beneficiary company of the Enterprise Georgia program and a manufacturer of the semi-finished plastic bottles and dairy containers.

The company has been using the industrial component of the agency Enterprise Georgia since 2018 and recently was expanded with the assistance received under the same component. At this point, the production of the dairy containers began.

As the Minister noted, the Alfa Pet is a very competitive Georgian enterprise, which not only supplies the Georgian market, but also exports its products to the neighbouring countries.

“Another Georgian enterprise is expanding production with the help of the state, in particular the Enterprise Georgia Agency’s programs. It should be noted that the Alfa Pet products have already been exported to the region, to our neighbouring countries, and despite the pandemic, the company has not only reduced production, but on the contrary, it has expanded and has good prospects in this regard. The new device, which was purchased by the company with the help of the state and put into operation today in the test mode, provides an opportunity to supply more diverse products to both  - Georgian market and the market of the region,” – Natia Turnava stated.

The company currently employs 54 people, mostly locals, and plans to further expand production in the nearest future.
The total investment implemented in the Alfa Pet equals to 30 million GEL.

Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Irakli Nadareishvili, Head of the Produce in Georgia Agency Mikheil Khidureli and State Representative to the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region Davit Nozadze, accompanied the Minister to the enterprise.
