I. Ships’ registration 

1. Ships’ registration under the flag of Georgia

Description: Mentioned service offers the registration of ships, yachts, ships under construction, barebout-chartered ships for domestic and international navigation within the Georgian Registry of Ships, including all related services (mortgage, etc.)

II. Recognition
Maritime Transport Agency, as the regulative body of Maritime sector of Georgia performs the recognition of Maritime Training Centers, Maritime Medical Centers, Authorized Medical Practitioners and Crewing companies.

1. The recognition of maritime-training centers and maritime-trainings courses 

Description: The recognition of maritime-training centers and maritime-training courses.

2. Selection the medical Centers 

Description: Selection of seafarers medical centers. The selection of authorized medical centers for medical certification of seafarers is conducted via  primary audit and annual monitoring.

3. Selection of authorized medical practitioners
Description:  Selection of authorized medical personnel for seafarers . The selection of authorized medical practitioners for seafarers  is carried out via testing.

4. The recognition of Crewing Companies 

Description: The recognition of Crewing Companies is carried out via checking the primary documentation and via annual monitoring. 
fee: Primary acknowledgment is free of charges. Annual monitoring is valuable.

III. Certificate Verification

1. Certification of Seafarers  

Description: Mentioned service consists:
•    Issuing the Certificate of Competence for management’s and Support level, which gives the holder the right to be employed on the ship on various positions, according to their certificates. 
•    Issuing the certificates of proficiency  for conventional/non-conventional tranning, confirming the competence. 
•    Issuing the qualification’s conventional/non-conventional certificate, confirming the completion of training.
•    Issuing the Seamen’s’ book - confirming document of identification for seafarers, which gives the seafarers the right to board and move freely in other states and ports located therein. 
•    Certification of seafarers and fishermen

2. Certification  of marine pilots/termination of  marine pilots’ certificates. 

Description: The certificate of a marine pilot confirms its holder’s  right to conduct a service of maritime pilotage in a specific Georgian harbor and in its area.

IV. Ports

1. Registration the ship’s entrance-departure in Georgia’s harbors 

Description: Issuing permission for entrance-departure of ships in Georgia’s maritime harbours.

1. Approval of Port of Security Plans 
Description:  Inspecting Port Security Plans of harburs, relevant evaluation of plans and issuing  ISPS compliancecertificate for 5 years.

V. Participation in the system of search and rescue  

1. The fee for participation in search and rescue system 

Description: The organization and coordination of search and rescue operations in the SAR (searche and rescue) areas  under Georgia’s responsibility in the case of receiving a maritime incident notification and in order to respond and liquidate emergency oil spill with the special equipmentpossessed by it, 24-hours duty in radio airwave of GMDSS’ system’s A1 and A2 maritime areaswith special radio connections.
