Genadi Arveladze Met with Deputy Minister Foreign Affairs of Serbia

Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Genadi Arveladze met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Vladimir Marić, who was on a working visit to Georgia.

Priority directions of trade and economic relations between the two countries were the main topic of the conversation.
It was noted that there is a great potential for cooperation between Georgia and Serbia. The parties focused on the development of bilateral trade, as well as cooperation in such fields as investment attraction, civil aviation, land transport, tourism and agriculture.

According to Genadi Arveladze, the organization of joint business forums and trade missions is especially important for deepening bilateral cooperation, which will help strengthening of business ties between the two countries and implementation joint business projects.

Prospects of holding the second intergovernmental economic commission session between Georgia and Serbia was also discussed during the meeting. The need to continue consultations in order to conclude a Free Trade Agreement between the two countries was also stressed.
