Levan Davitashvili met with Israel Vice Prime Minister, Gideon Saar

Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili met with Vice Prime Minister of the State of Israel, Minister of Justice Gideon Sa’ar.

Deputy Minister Gennadi Arveladze, Ambassador of Georgia to the State of Israel Lasha Zhvania and Ambassador of Israel to Georgia, Hadas Meitzad also attended the meeting.

The parties positively assessed the existing relations between the two countries.

Special emphasis was placed on the historical and cultural ties between Georgia and Israel and the centuries-old relations between the peoples. Significant attention was paid to economic relations, including bilateral trade, which, according to the Georgian side, will be given a new impetus by the signing of a free trade agreement between the two countries. It was noted that a study has already been prepared, which studied the feasibility of signing of a Free Trade Agreement between Georgia and Israel.

Attention was also focused on cooperation in the direction of promoting tourism, information technologies, innovations and startups.
