By the order of the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, national postage stamps dedicated to the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2025 were put into circulation. Based on this, a four-stamp sheet was printed by the Georgian Post, which is available for purchase at the Georgian Post branches. The denomination of each postage stamp is 1 GEL, and the circulation is 20 000 pieces. The author of the stamp design is Badri Gagnidze.

"By the recommendation of the Standing Commission for the Issuance of National Postal Payment Signs of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and in cooperation with the Georgian National Olympic Committee, the Ministry developed and approved the design of the "Bakuriani 2025" postage stamp. As you know, Georgia is hosting the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival this year. In particular, we respond to this important international event taking place in Bakuriani with a new series of stamps. Holding such a high-ranking competition is another great recognition of Georgia as a popular destination for winter resorts and sports tourism," – the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, the Chairman of the Stamp Commission, Guram Guramishvili said.

As the Deputy Minister noted, it is very important that winter sports are developed in the country, as well as the international-level infrastructure needed for this. "We are actively working in this direction and I think we have results. The postage stamps dedicated to the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival will contribute to the positioning of Georgia as a destination for high-level winter sports activities on the international stage," said Guram Guramishvili.

The "Bakuriani 2025" Winter Olympic Festival officially opened on February 9 and will last until February 16.

About 1000 athletes from 45 countries will take part in the festival in eight sports (Alpine skiing, Biathlon, Freestyle skiing, Figure skating, Ice hockey, Short track, Skiing, Snowboarding). Georgia will be represented by 8 athletes in three sports (Figure skating, Alpine skiing and Biathlon).
