Levan Davitashvili Met EBRD Director Tamás Vojnits

First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili, met with Tamás Vojnits, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Director for the constituency countries – Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Croatia, and Georgia.

Deputy Ministers Vakhtang Tsintsadze and Irakli Nadareishvili also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the priority areas of EBRD’s activities in Georgia, as well as the ongoing and upcoming projects. It was noted that the EBRD is one of Georgia’s largest investors, helping the country’s private sector to become more competitive at the international markets.

The First Vice Prime Minister briefed the EBRD Director on the current economic trends in Georgia. The discussion focused on the ongoing processes in specific sectors of the country's economy. Particular attention was paid to green energy, transport and logistics, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, capital market development, tourism, manufacturing, the information technology industry, as well as large infrastructure projects, the development of which largely determines the country’s further economic growth.

At the meeting, the parties discussed future cooperation between Georgia and the EBRD and identified priority areas of cooperation.
