Vakhtang Tsintsadze at Meeting with International Monetary Fund in Washington, USA

Within the frames of the visit of the First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili to the United States, the Deputy Minister of Economy, Vakhtang Tsintsadze, along with the Minister of Finance of Georgia, Lasha Khutsishvili, and the President of the National Bank, Natia Turnava, participated in a meeting with the International Monetary Fund held in Washington.

The meeting participants discussed Georgia’s macroeconomic indicators, current economic trends, and future prospects, among other important issues. The Georgian government’s sound and consistent economic policy, which contributes to maintaining high rates of economic growth and improving the structure of the economy was highlighted at the meeting. Global macroeconomic environment and its potential impact on the Georgian economy were also subjects of discussion.

It was noted that the Georgian economy has repeatedly demonstrated resilience to external shocks and global challenges and has created adequate buffers in terms of coping with future shocks and maintaining macroeconomic stability.
