George Kobulia Discussed Current Economic Program with International Monetary Fund Mission

Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, George Kobulia met with the International Monetary Fund mission headed by Mercedes Vera-Martin.

Georgia’s economic indicators, the process of the implementation of the economic and structural reforms and the cooperation program which is being realized by the IMF together with the Government of Georgia were the topics of the conversation.

The IMF mission gave the positive evaluation of the Georgian Government program implementation process within the “expanded financing mechanism” and highlighted the positive trend regarding the stability of the Georgian economic, its sustainability towards the external shocks and the reforms implemented in Georgia that are aimed at promotion of the inclusive economic growth in the country. 

The IMF mission, within its visit to Georgia, is to hold meetings with other members of the economic team and the Parliament of Georgia, representatives of National Bank and international financial institutions and banking sector.
