Natia Nurnava Met with Georgian Businessmen Operating in Kazakhstan

Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Natia Turnava, within the official visit to the Kazakhstan, held a meeting with the Georgian businesspersons operating in the country.

Conversation focused on Georgia-Kazakhstan business ties, priority directions for bilateral cooperation, increasing the inflow of Kazakh investments in Georgia and the opportunities for expansion of the export of Georgian products to the Kazakhstan market.

The businesspersons participating in the meeting represented such sectors as banking, finances, agriculture, construction, real estate and other. They expressed their interest in investing in Georgia and facilitating its development. At the same time, the focus was on the strengthening of the Georgian - Kazakh ties and the rope of Georgian diaspora in this process. Possibility of opening the Georgian Culture Center in Kazakhstan, where local customers can not only get acquainted with Georgian culture, but also get more information about the products produced in Georgia, including those of Georgian wines that are less known in Kazakhstan as well as the other food products.

Increasing the involvement of the Georgian business diaspora in Kazakhstan in construction of transport and logistic infrastructure, medical centers, tourist facilities and hotel complexes in Georgia was also a part of the conversation. Business representatives expressed interest in Law on Public-Private Partnership, which came in force several months ago in Georgia.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili, Executive Director of Partnership Fund David Saganelidze, Chair of the LEPL National Agency of State Property of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development Giorgi Dugladze and Ambassador of Georgia to Kazakhstan Zurab Abashidze also attended the meeting.
