Natia Turnava Met Turkey-Georgia Business Council Representatives

Significant aspects of economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed at a meeting between Natia Turnava and the Turkey-Georgia Business Council Chairman, Jemal Yangin. Turkish Ambassador to Georgia Fatma Seren Yazgan as well the Deputy Ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development, Genadi Arveladze and Nikoloz Alavidze, and the representatives of the Turkey-Georgia Business Council, also attended the meeting. 

Strengthening of economic cooperation and the intensification of joint projects to improve the trade balance was the main topic of the conversation. “We talked about expanding exports to accommodate more products and fully reap the benefits of Georgia’s free trade agreement. In this regard, the Turkey-Georgia Business Council, which is a member of the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Council (DEIK), will actively assist and promote business relations,” – Genadi Arveladze said after the meeting.

Arveladze noted that Georgian part provided the Turkish guests with the information on the Silk Road Forum 2019 that is to be held in October and invited business representatives of Turkey to participate.
