According to the Minister, Czech Republic is an active economic partner of Georgia and the number of Czech companies operating in the energy, transport, pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors of Georgia is growing every year.

According to the Minister, the number of tourists from the Czech Republic is also increasing. “In 2019, there was a 19% increase in number of visitors, which is a very high rate. Importantly, the epidemiological situation in the Czech Republic is quite benign. Therefore, we are talking about the Czech Republic being one of the first countries from which tourists will arrive in Georgia in July,” – Natia Turnava said and added that “it is important that such airlines as the Airzena and the Wizz Air are ready to resume flights between the Czech Republic and Georgia. "Before the pandemic, they were flying at a fairly high frequency, and I hope that this direction will be in similar demand now” – Natia Turnava said.
