Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava, together with Mikheil Khidureli, Director of the Enterprise Georgia Agency, visited the enterprise Fabrika 1900, located in the Mtskheta Municipality.

The enterprise is a beneficiary of the Enterprise Georgia Agency’s programme and produces packaging materials for local as well as foreign markets.

Within the framework of the industrial loan interest co-financing component of the Enterprise Georgia Agency programme, the company has built a completely new high-tech enterprise.

Over 14 million GEL has been invested in the enterprise and the production volume reaches 600 tons a month. The packaging material is biodegradable and reproducible, made from certified European raw materials on modern machinery.

Natia Turnava noted that the enterprise was re-equipped and expanded with the support of the Enterprise Georgia programme.

“The company has serious plans to expand and with the help of the Enterprise Georgia programme production will be practically doubled. As a result, if today the company hires 134 people, mainly the residents of Gori and Mtskheta, the number of employees will be increased following the re-equipment and expansion. It is important that the company has ambitious plans not only to increase its share of on Georgian market, but also on the regional one,” – Natia Turnava said.
