Another Session of Private Sector Development Advisory Council

Another meeting of the Private Sector Development Advisory Council was held with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The session was held under the guidance of the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Irakli Nadareishvili, and the representatives of the state and private sectors participated in it.

Presentations on market supervision reform, current challenges and perspectives, as well as on the functions and activities of the newly created Market Supervision Agency were introduced during the session. Draft of the “2021-2025 Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development Strategy of Georgia” was also presented for the discussion.

Within the framework of the session, a discussion was held regarding the presentations and the participants of the session, including the business representatives, drew attention to various important challenges.

The Chairman of the Council, Irakli Nadareishvili spoke about the need for regular, structured cooperation with the private sector and emphasized the importance of strengthening and active functioning of the Private Sector Development Advisory Council as a successful platform for dialogue with the private sector.
