Genadi Arveladze Met with Montenegro State Secretary, Aleksandar Maskovic

Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Genadi Arveladze met with the State Secretary of Montenegro for European Integration, Aleksandar Maskovic, who was on a working visit to Georgia.

The parties exchanged information on their experience and knowledge in terms of European integration was discussed.

Deputy Minister Genadi Arveladze emphasized the progress of Georgia in terms of European integration. According to him, Georgia has fulfilled a large portion of the obligations assumed by the association agreement with the European Union. The steps taken by Georgia in terms of integration with the EU market were especially emphasized.

In turn, the State Secretary of Montenegro shared with his Georgian colleague information on the dynamics of Montenegro’s integration with the European Union.

The parties also talked about implementation of joint initiatives in the direction of European integration in the future and deepening relations between the relevant agencies of the two countries.

In conclusion, Genadi Arveladze and Aleksandar Maskovic agreed on the necessity to further strengthen the cooperation between the two countries in the direction of European integration in both bilateral and multilateral formats, as well as on introduction of institutional arrangements and legislative initiatives and sharing experience between individual government agencies.
