Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili inspected the locations arranged on more than 1000 square meters at the world’s largest tourist exhibition, including the main stand of Georgia in the main pavilion of the Berlin exhibition. Deputy Prime Minister, Mariam Kvrivishvili and Head of the National Tourism Administration, Maya Omiadze visited the pavilion together with the Vice Prime Minister.

A few hours before the official opening of the exhibition, all the preparations are almost finished and Georgia is ready to present itself as the host country in front of 200 thousand visitors from over 180 countries of the world.

Levan Davitashvili noted that the status of the ITB Berlin’s host country is the result of principal and reliable partnership of Georgia with the ITB Berlin and the international tourism community.

“This was not an ordinary decision since it was not Georgia’s turn to be a host but it received the status of the host as a result of a principal and reliable partnership with the ITB Berlin and the international tourism community. In general, the progress we have in the direction of tourism in Georgia was very interesting, and in the end, the most decisive factor, due to which attention was stopped on Georgia, was probably the most original, creative and interesting offer, because our competing countries stood out in terms of financial resources and ambitions,” – Levan Davitashvili noted.

According to Minister, the ITIB Berlin is a very important platform for achieving concrete results in the tourism industry.

Infinite Georgian Hospitality is a special program to be introduced during the ITB Berlin 2023. The program is to represent history of Georgian culture, modern art, ethno-jazz, classical and electronic music, Georgian National Ballet, etc. Guests will also learn about Georgian culture, traditions and cuisine.
