Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili participated in the Ministerial Meeting held within the frames of the ITB Berlin 2023.

“We realized that it was necessary to transform Georgia as a brand, and that’s why we presented Georgia at ITB Berlin as a place of Infinite Hospitality. Maybe, we have not yet enter the list of leading countries providing five-star service, although we are working in this direction, but there is something that makes Georgia unique, and that is our traditional hospitality,” – Deputy Minister stated in her speech.

The ministerial round table, which was held within the framework of the world’s largest tourism exhibition ITB Berlin, was also attended by Minister of Tourism of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Fatima Al Sairifam, Minister of Tourism of Croatia, Nikolina Brnjac, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Ahmed Issa, and other officials.

According to Mariam Kvrivishvili, outstanding Georgian hospitality is also reflected in the numbers, and statistical data shows that every visitor returns to our country at least twice, which, according to the Deputy Minister, is directly linked to hospitality.

“Our government tried to present the most important aspects that characterize our identity, hospitality, the world-famous hospitable Georgian people and, of course, Georgian food and wine. The main thing we wanted to say is how the transformation of the country took place, how we came from a unique ancient culture, with a unique alphabet, from the cradle of wine to the country that Georgia is today on the map of the modern world and which aspires to reunification in the European family,” – Mariam Kvrivishvili highlighted.

Main concept of Georgia at ITB Berlin 2023 is Infinite Georgian Hospitality.
