First Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Nino Enukidze congratulated geologists on their professional day.

Celebration of the Geologist’s Day in Georgia on the first week of April dates back to 1966.

The Head of the National Mineral Resources Agency Andro Aslanishvili, as well as Dweputy Heads of the National Mineral Resources Agency – Nana Zamtaradze and Irakli Gelashvili also congratulated geologists on their professional day.

As it was mentioned at the meeting, disposal of useful minerals is a proud, dignified and at the same time highly responsible activity. In addition, the role of geologists employed in the Agency in the development of the field is priceless.

According to the First Deputy Minister, mineral resources are one of the main wealth of Georgia and represent an important economic asset in the development of the country.

“In 2024, we will continue to work in the direction of rational use of minerals and their effective inclusion in economic activities. The growing trend of issuing licenses for mineral exploitation will be maintained, which will help create jobs and increase the volume of revenues generated in the budget” – Nino Enukidze stated.
