Dimitry Kumsishvili: Ovetr 16 000 jobs will be created within the current projects of state program Enterprise Georgia

“When we say that our government’s priority is the freedom of business and promotion of local production, especially in the regions, we confirm this with the reforms implemented by the initiative of the Prime Minister and Government of Georgia. I can say that one of the most successful state programs is Enterprise Georgia” – the First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Dimitry Kumsishvili stated at the opening of a new enterprise of the Adjara Textile company in Poti. According to Dimitry Kumsishvili, the program has already approved 335 projects, the total investment volume of which exceeds 815 million GEL, while the number of loans issued by the commercial banks exceeds 419 million GEL.

“On account of the current statistics, with the support of the state program Enterprise Georgia, over 13 300 new jobs have been created in our country and today, 3 000 people representing the main drivers of this enterprise in terms of creating the quality and competitive products will join these figures. I would like to congratulate every employee of the new enterprise and wish them success and luck,” - Dimitry Kumsishvili noted.

The Adjara Textile LTD enjoys a financial and infrastructure component of the program Enterprise Georgia. Consequently, the company has been transferred a plot of land for a symbolic price, one GEL, for which the Enterprise Georgia of the Ministry of Economy will co-finance the interest rate of the loan. The amount of the loan taken under the program is 9 200 000 GEL while the state co-financing is 1 600 000 GEL. The total volume of Poti project investment is 38 million GEL, and the total amount of investment for all three projects is 80 million GEL.
