Dimitry Kumsishvili: Check In Georgia is a project aimed at tourism and business facilitation

“Check In Georgia is an economic project aimed at tourism and business facilitation and development, which will have a direct impact on the growth of revenues of our citizens as well as the income of the companies operating in Georgia,” – the First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitry Kumsishvili stated at the Check In Georgia 2018 project presentation.

In his speech, the First Vice Prime Minister emphasized that several thousand people will be employed during the project, including the private companies involved in the project. “Every GEL invested in this project is in fact the investment in our citizen’s welfare. This project is intended to attract more tourists from around the world and to promote domestic tourism, since domestic tourism brings into our economy impressive income and creates remarkable number of job,” – the First Vice Prime Minister noted.

According to Dimitri Kumsishvili, it is important that small business entrepreneurs will be involved in this year’s project as well.

“I am glad to see that our business sector joint the Check In Georgia project. This is a new stimulus for local entrepreneurship and a real chance for development. The project calendar is maximally loaded with activities, which provides more opportunities to business to introduce their products, increase income, employ more people,” – the Economy Minister commented.

As the First Vice Prime Minister noted, within the framework of the Check-In Georgia project, large-scale as well as small and medium businesses can find their own segment to acquire the space for the diversification of the products and services:

“When talking about the Government’s priority to be the freedom of business and the development and promotion of local business especially in the regions, we confirm our talk via the implementation of the reforms initiated by the Prime Minister and the Government of Georgia”.

The events within the framework of the Check In Georgia 2018 will be launched in April, while the project will last until the end of the year.
