"We are talking about complex development, which is not just about the production of elevators; it also refers to the development of cranes. As estimated, the localization of production in Georgia will amount to 71% by the end of next year. It all envisages for creating new jobs, and enabling the country to develop the potential of local production through the ultimate promotion of the export ratio," - Dimitry Kumsishvili commented.

Up to 50 people will be employed at the first stage of the new lifts manufacturing enterprise, and this number will be significantly increased in the future. According to the company representatives, the lifts produced in Georgia together with the Belarusian Mogilev Liftmash are of high quality and will be able to freely compete with the imported similar products.

It should be noted that for the purpose of the lifts manufacturing enterprise, the staff, who will later intern at various facilities, will be professionally retrained.

It is also of high importance that alongside with the start of the production of lifts, the spare parts market will also be developed in Georgia.
