First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitry Kumsishvili held a meeting with the delegation of the largest State Company of the People’s Republic of China – China Merchants Group and its subsidiary companies – China Merchants Industrial Holding, China ZTT and Celestial Capital and Celestial Energy Met.

First Vice Prime Minister Dimitry Kumsishvili introduced the Chinese delegation to Georgia’s economic and investment environment. The sides talked about joint current and future projects in energy, infrastructure and other important sectors of economy. Prospects for deepening economic cooperation between the two countries also became the topic of the conversation. 

Assets of the China Merchants Group equals to 1.2 trillion USD. The company is investing in various projects. Their portfolio includes important energy, infrastructure and logistical directions. The China ZTT activities mainly involve development of solar and wind power projects while the Celestial Capital and the Celestial Energy work on attracting financial resources for energy projects.
