Dimitry Kumsishvili Met With Turkish Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association Delegation

First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitry Kumsishvili held a meeting with the delegation of the Turkish Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MUSIAD), headed by the President Abdurrahman Kaan. The association founded the office in Tbilisi, which was officially opened on April 22.

First Vice Prime Minister Dimitry Kumsishvili said that the development of relations and cooperation between Georgia and Turkey are the most visible example of how to develop economic cooperation between the two countries and how to make use of each other’s potential for the well-being of the people.

Dimitry Kumsishvili emphasized bilateral trade statistics, which is characterized by the annual dynamics. According to him, the amendments to the Free Trade Agreement, as well as the launching of so called diagonal cumulative method between Georgia, Turkey and the UN will have even more positive impact on the economic growth. The introduction of the diagonal commutative method will facilitate attracting of additional investments in Georgia and creation of new enterprises, which, in turn, provide diversification of the Georgian exports.

President Abdurrahman Kaan provided the First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia with the information regarding the worldwide activities of the MUSAID. As Kaan noted, Turkish organization will be able to provide support to the Georgian companies in revealing the new markets for their production. In addition, the MUSAID President invited Georgia to the exhibition organized by the Turkish Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association that is scheduled to be held in Istanbul this November.
