“I intend to organize meetings with the private sector in the future so that we can hear once more what the private sector is concerned about, what problems we can help them to solve,” – Giorgi Kobulia, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia noted after meeting with business leaders.

Representatives of the Georgian Business Association, Georgian Employers Association, Georgian Farmers Association, Georgian Banks Association, Georgian Small and Medium Enterprises Association and Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry attended the meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.

The meeting dwelt upon the planned and ongoing reforms of the Ministry, topical issues in different sectors of business, including labor safety, pension reform, capital market reform, agro sector development issues, etc.

“Today we have had a meeting with business associations, which is very important because they have information on the problems of businesses in these sectors. I asked the head of each association to share the issues with me and thus, pose the questions that they are worried about. We went through all the issues of each association, and held discussions on different topics, which, in principle, was very useful for us,” – the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia reported.
