Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Giorgi Kobululia held a meeting with the delegation of the Energy Community Secretariat, which was led by the Director of the Energy Community Secretariat, Janez Kopač. 

Deputy Ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development, Natia Turnava and Irma Kavtaradze and the CEO of the Georgian Energy Development Fund, Giorgi Chikovani also attended the meeting.

“European Energy Community provides us with the assistance in the energy sector reforms. The reform envisage the significant initiatives such as the establishment of a free energy market, energy efficiency in the construction and other sectors” – Giorgi Kobulia, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, notes after the meeting with Janez Kopač.

“We believe that we will accelerate the implementation of the reforms, which will considerably increase the effectiveness of Georgia’s energy sector” – Giori Kobulia added. 

“We went through all opened energy reformed issues. The Minister looks very dedicated and I am very happy because of that. He was immediately interested in details which are important in terms of adoption and implementation of the Law. In general, I have a very positive impression. And we immediately agreed on further meetings about the details that need more discussion” – the Director of the European Energy Community Secretariat, Janez Kopač stated.
